To provide the very best financial planning advice to trustees, attorneys, individuals and businesses through highly qualified, specialist advisers.
We do not target our advisers to produce a certain amount of business income. Our target is to exceed 100% of our clients expectations with nil complaints.
Mark Woods states:
‘every aspect of our business is geared towards this aim in the unshakeable belief that complete client satisfaction leads to sustainable relationships and strong referrals from our existing clients to new clients and this is exactly how our financial planning business has grown from strength to strength.’
Watermark Wealth Management (WWM) was established in January 2013 in direct response to the Financial Services Authority’s Retail Distribution Review (RDR), legislation which required financial services firms to adhere to a range of new rules. Prior to 2013 the business owners operated a single entity known as Watermark Financial Solutions Limited (WFSL), established in 2006 as a natural progression of the original Watermark Financial Services Partnership, which was established way back in 1990.
WFSL was both an Independent Financial Advisory (IFA) firm and a Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) firm. The new legislation led the business owners to carve out the financial advisory side of the business into Watermark Wealth Management (WWM) and to retain WFSL as a stand alone Discretionary Portfolio Management firm that has been re-branded to Marketstar Investment Management. The changes we have made should provide greater transparency and enable us to focus more specialised resources where required.
We have built a reputation among fellow professionals for providing excellent standards of independent financial advice and service to clients.
We are members of the following organisations and abide by the various codes of conduct laid down by them:
- Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA)
- Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)
- The Personal Finance Society (PFS) (formerly The Society of Financial Advisers (SOFA) & Life Insurance Association (LIA), which merged in 2004)
We continually receive letters from satisfied clients, complimenting us on our professionalism and thanking us for our quality service and independent financial advice. As one client put it
‘the most positive, honest and efficient approach that I have ever experienced from a Financial Adviser’
Always take Independent Financial Advice
