Citywire New Model Adviser Feature - March 2010

As featured in Citywire’s New Model Adviser magazine and on their website in March 2010, Watermark have been developing the ‘Perfect Adviser Model’ over the past 10 years….. now, we believe we are there and can provide financial advisers with an almost Utopian environment.
These web pages are in place for two reasons:
- As a recruitment advertisement for Watermark Financial Solutions Ltd for those advisers that are seeking a great business model within which to develop their own business and
- As a source of practical information for those firms that want to become a ‘New Model Adviser’ company.
The second of these two points illustrates our ethos and resolve to augment the professional standing of the financial services sector in the UK. Essentially, if we can provide other firms with practical help on how to develop their business model, professionalism within our sector will improve and that benefits all of us.
However, for those advisers who don’t necessarily want to go through the pain of developing a brilliant business model or ‘re-inventing the wheel’ we encourage you to carefully consider the following text and regard it as a proposal.
The Perfect Adviser Model begins with having at your disposal a ‘Great Client Model’ as this is the foundation to attracting, developing and retaining high quality clients. Our client model is difficult to beat and we know of no other firm in the south west that can offer what we offer.
If a great client model is supported with a range of additional unique adviser benefits, you have the ‘Perfect Adviser Model’.
David Thomas joined Watermark on 4 January 2010 and his story is testament to how Watermark could benefit you. With careful planning and structured processes, we are planning to increase the value in David’s client base by 875% in 1 year. Find out how and why David believes our business model is ‘light years ahead of anything else I have ever seen.’
Due to the fact that we believe our model is unique with features not employed by any other IFA firm that we know of, you will be asked to accept a ‘Non Disclosure Agreement’ to protect our ideas and plans.
